Laughter Yoga

Deborah A Rodrigo graduated as a Laughter Yoga Leader in 2015 and became a certified Laughter Yoga Teacher in 2017. Shortly later she opens her own Laughter Yoga Club bringing people from all walks of life from the youngest participant of four years old to eighty years old. She connects with people through her engaging facilitation skills, her trigger laughter, and her inner child playfulness.

It is such joy to create a bubble of fun, play, releasing stress and engaging with the crowd. Deborah does Laughter Yoga for the cancer survivors at the National Cancer Association, for the visually impaired at the Malaysian Association of Blind (MAB), at the Parkinson center, some NGOs and also for the corporate sector. She is one of the most sought-after Laughter Yoga facilitators in the Klang Valley.

Laughter Yoga

Laughter Yoga is a global phenomenon being practiced in over 100 countries, successfully. It is a powerful tool that reduces stress and makes people happier, energetic, releasing emotional baggage, bringing out the inner child and more.

Developed by Indian physician, Dr. Madan Kataria in 1995, it is a breakthrough laughter delivery system where anyone can laugh and practice laughter as a group exercise without relying on humor, jokes or comedy.

At Murfest, I'll explain a bit about the history, benefits and the process. Then we'll start with some stretches, followed by laughter exercises, in between breathing techniques. You'll elevate the energy levels with laughter that we need to get grounded after the session. So we'll do relaxation exercises, could be lying down or relaxing body movements, followed by feedback session. It's about 1 hour long.

How Laughter Yoga Works :

With prolonged Intentional laughter one can exhale more carbon dioxide while fully oxygenating each and every cell of the body and brain. This improves efficiency, mental focus and concentration.
